Children’s COVID-19 Immunisation Clinics

14/12/2021

Children’s COVID-19 Immunisation Clinics

We are commencing COVID-19 immunisations for 5 – 11 year olds on Tuesday 11 January 2022.

Our clinics will run between 3-5pm on Tuesdays and Thursday initially.

Here at Glen Forrest Medical Centre, we will be using the Pfizer vaccine, as approved by the TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) and ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation)

The dose of the Pfizer vaccine for 5 – 11 year olds is one-third the dose of the adult formulation.
The interval for the two doses in 5 – 11 year olds is recommended to be eight weeks.

Booking for the first dose can be done online via this website, you will have the second dose booked when you arrive for your first dose.

**Bookings will be made available once we have vaccine supplies.

If you have lots of queries regarding this immunisation for your child(ren) then please make a separate appointment with one of our doctors prior to booking your immunisation clinic appointment, we are happy to discuss this with you to ensure informed consent.

Booster Clinics for COVID-19 Immunisation

As Western Australia is opening up to the outside world on Saturday 5 February 2022, Glen Forrest Medical Centre is gearing up for a dynamic month of booster immunisations in January 2022!

For those patients of GFMC who had their initial vaccines here, you will automatically be sent an appointment date and time for your booster vaccination, please keep an eye out for an SMS or in your HotDoc appointments.
Please only ring if the time does not suit you and you need it changed.

For those patients of GFMC who received their initial vaccines elsewhere, you are able to book online (preferably) or call to make a Booster clinic appointment.

We are administering the Pfizer vaccine for the Booster immunization.

Thank you for your patience and understanding and we are looking forward to seeing you soon.

COVID Testing Clinics

Private Drive-Through Testing Clinics:

Western Diagnostic Drive-Through Testing Clinic Locations

Please note: You do not require a request form to use a Western Diagnostic drive-through clinic if you are symptomatic or have been to an exposure site.

Also note that when it is really hot they will close the drive-through clinics in the afternoons because the heat compromises the testing.
Check their website for daily updates.

Fee Increase for 2021/2022

09/07/2021

Fee Increase for 2021/2022:

We have not increased our fees since November 2019, however, with increasing overheads we advise patients that we intend to increase our fees in August 2021.

We wish to remind you that we are a private billing Practice and would appreciate payment on the day.

We don’t routinely Bulk Bill because we value our ability to provide quality service more than our Government does. Medicare is your Insurance rebate.

If you have extenuating financial circumstances please discuss these with your Doctor.
