Worker’s Compensation
The Doctors at Glen Forrest Medical Centre can manage your workers compensation claims.
Once a claim has been started, it is encouraged that you continue seeing the same GP for the best management. We suggest that you book your review appointment after each visit. If your GP is unavailable at the date of a review, please contact your employer/insurer to advise of the delay.
Please read our policy below:
Glen Forrest Medical Centre’s Workers Compensation Policy
Glen Forrest Medical Centre’s policy for all new worker’s compensation claims is, you, as the employee, are responsible for the payment of all accounts until the claim has been accepted by your employer/insurance company.
On the day of your initial consultation, you will be given a medical certificate by the Doctor and asked to hand it to Reception who will scan a copy to your file.
You will be issued with an invoice in the name of your employer that you will need to pay on the day.
The medical certificate and receipt will be returned to you to pass onto your employer.
You will be responsible for payment of all accounts until the claim has been accepted and then you will need to provide Glen Forrest Medical Centre with the insurer details (inc. name and email) and claim number.
If there is any delay in the acceptance of the claim you will be responsible to follow up with your employer/insurance company.
Once the claim has been accepted by the employer/insurance company you will be able to be reimbursed by them.
You will continue to be responsible for the invoices and medical certificates being passed on to your employer/insurer, even after acceptance of claim.
If you have any other questions, please speak to your Doctor or Receptionist.
