The following are eligible for a free flu vaccine:
- Pregnant women
- people aged 65 years of age and older
- Aboriginal Australians aged at least 6 months but less than 5 years; or 15 years and older
- Individuals aged 6 months and older with medical conditions that put them at risk of severe influenza, including:
- Heart disease
- Chronic respiratory conditions
- Chronic diseases requiring medical follow-up or hospitalisation in the past year
- People with weakened immune systems
- Children aged 6 months to 10 years receiving long term aspirin therapy
- Children aged from 6 months to under 5 years of age are eligible for a free vaccine in WA
