A farewell message from our beloved Nurse, Sinéad:
‘After almost 19 years at GFMC, I have decided to move on to pastures new.
I am moving to a GP practice closer to my home and my last day working here will be the 2nd of December 2025.
I have met so many wonderful people during my time here and I will miss your friendly faces popping into the treatment room for nursing care, advice or sometimes simply just to say hello.
I have seen babies grow into teenagers and young adults. I laughed and cried with some of you through the ups and downs of life.
I’m sad to be leaving but it’s time for a change.
Much love Sinéad
Slán agaibh 💚💚’
Sinead started working at the Glen Forrest Medical Centre in February 2007.
Congratulations Sinead!
2017
On the 1st of February this year our wonderful nurse Sinead celebrated 10 years service at the Glen Forrest Medical Centre.
To mark the occasion we asked her a few questions:
How long have you been nursing? 36 years.
Why did you become a nurse? I honestly can’t remember! Ha-ha!
Which aspect of your job do you enjoy the most? Looking after people and making them feel better.
What do you like to do away from work? Eat and drink with friends, Ride my bike!
Anything else? Glen Forrest Medical Centre is the best place to work. Lovely staff, lovely patients. Best job I have ever had, that’s why I’ve stayed for 10 years!

Sinead’s Ride to Conquer Cancer
2016
Our amazing nurse Sinead will be doing the Ride to Conquer Cancer again this year. In October over 2 days she will ride over 200km as part of the Woodside team.
The money she has raised will go to the Harry Perkins Research Institute for much needed medical research.

Sinead would like to say thank you to everyone who has donated so far, a fundraising tin is at the reception desk if you would still like to donate.
